Pet Policy

Allowed Pets

We consider common household pets such as:

  Dogs

  Cats

  Small caged animals (hamsters, guinea pigs, etc.)

  Fish (tanks under 30 gallons)

 

 

Honor Residential welcomes pets that are safe, well‑behaved, and properly disclosed. Up to four (4) household pets may be approved per home, subject to the guidelines below.

Prohibited Pets

For safety, liability, and insurance reasons, the following are not permitted:

Exotic Animals

Including but not limited to:
  Reptiles
  Amphibians

  Birds of prey

  Primates
  Ferrets

  Any species requiring a

special permit

Farm Animals

Including but not limited to:
  Pigs
  Goats

  Chickens

  Ducks
  Livestock

Wildlife or Hybrid Species

Including but not limited to:   Wolf hybrids

  Any animal with wild lineage

Restricted Dog Breeds

The following breeds, mixes, or look‑alikes are not permitted due to insurance and safety restrictions:

  Pit Bull Terrier

  Staffordshire Terrier

  Rottweiler

  Doberman Pinscher

  Chow Chow
  Akita

  Wolf hybrids

  Any dog with a known history of aggression

Pet Approval Requirements

To be approved, all pets must be:

  Fully disclosed during the application or lease process

  Approved by management before being brought into the home

  Documented in your lease file

  Non‑aggressive and well‑behaved

  House-trained

  Not disruptive to neighbors

  Kept in compliance with local laws and vaccination requirements

Unauthorized Pets

Any pet that has not been disclosed and approved in advance is considered unauthorized. Unauthorized pets may result in backdated pet fees, a lease violation notice, or required removal of the animal.

Assistance Animals

Assistance animals are not pets and follow a separate verification process and, once approved, are accommodated in accordance with applicable laws.
